The Perfect Baby and Toddler Carrier from LÍLLÉbaby

LÍLLÉbaby 6-in-1 carrier

Baby carriers have come in handy for me, as a new mom, more times than I can even count. I love them! I had to tell you about this awesome 6-in-1 carrier I was given to review from LÍLLÉbaby. It’s called the Complete All Seasons 6-in-1 Carrier. It’s honestly one of the coolest carriers on the market.

LÍLLÉbaby All Seasons Carrier

Let me first tell you about all of the many different positions you can use to hold your child in this LÍLLÉbaby carrier! There are 6 positions you can use.

LÍLLÉbaby Complete All Seasons Breathable 3D Mesh 6-in-1 Carrier

  1. Fetal – Great for very little babies (newborn-3 months old). Your baby’s neck is supported and they’re face-to-face with you so they’re protected from their surroundings.
  2. Infant – This position is perfect for when your baby has outgrown the fetal hold, but they’re not quite ready for a wide-seated position. The narrow seat is a great for your little one’s back, thighs and behind. There is also a cover for if you want to nurse on the go or if you want to cover your baby from the elements (rain, snow, etc.).
  3. Face Out – Perfect for babies 6 months and up who have strong neck support and can hold up their head on their own. I personally love this hold because my daughter can look around at her surroundings and take everything in.
  4. Toddler – This hold is great for a sleepy babe. They can lay their head on your chest and listen to your heartbeat. My daughter has passed out many times in this position. Ages 6m+
  5. Hip – The hip position is a hold that a lot of parents are used to. Without a carrier, most parents hold their babies on their hips. It helps to take the pressure off of your lower back. This position is perfect for getting certain chores/tasks done. I know with a baby in the front, I can'[t always sweep or do dishes how I’d like so I love this alternative position. 6m+
  6. Back – If you’re going to be wearing a baby for a long time or if you’re carrying a larger child, this position is great. It takes the pressure off of your lower back and keeps the center of gravity inside the carrier. Your baby is able to sit comfortably.

This carrier is literally the perfect all-in-one carrier. Here are some other features for this carrier.

  1. Lumbar Support – I LOVE that this carrier includes lumbar support. Carrying around a 20lb+ baby all the time can be exhausting on your body. I love that the lumbar support is super comfortable and that it works really well. I never have lower back pain while using this carrier.
  2. Two-Way Strap – You can use the straps like a backpack, or you can cross them in the back which makes nursing and other tasks much easier. I actually have some friends who nurse on the go in their carriers.
  3. Sleeping Hood – Perfect for nursing on the go. The sleeping hood is also great for when your baby is asleep. You don’t have to worry about their head flopping around and hurting their neck. It also protects the baby against the elements (wind, rain, sun).
  4. Pocket – There is a pocket with a zipper that makes it easy to store cash or extra essentials when you’re out and about.
  5. Tall and Extendable Torso – Great for taller children. It helps support their necks and backs.
  6. Padded Shoulder Straps and Waist Belt – These are awesome for evenly distributing your child’s weight. It makes the carrier so comfortable to wear.

All-in-all, I love the LÍLLÉbaby Complete All Seasons 6-in-1 Carrier. One of the only things I would change is that in order to put your child in the carrier, you must take your shoulder straps off and place the baby inside. With my Infantino carrier, I’m able to unclip 2 snaps and I can place the baby inside and clip them back. I find the Infantino just a tad bit easier to put on by myself, but I do like the LÍLLÉbaby carrier a lot.

Newborn Must-Haves

Newborn Must-Haves

Having a brand new baby can sometimes be overwhelming. There are so many books, forums, and even family and friends that are going to give you loads of advice. The main piece of advice that I can give you if you’re a new mom is that every baby is different so find what products work for them.

I compiled a list of products that I absolutely loved as a new mom. They helped me so much during the first 6 +/- months of Avery’s life. Some products I am still using.

  1. DockATot – This is such an amazing product for babies! It is cozy just like the womb, so babies get great naps in here. I literally packed this lounger in my suitcase wherever I traveled. It’s perfect for tummy time, naps, play time… you name it.
  2. NoseFrida – If you’ve ever researched bulb syringe’s, you’d see that many get mold build up in them which is pretty gross. When teething or sick, babies can get runny noses. I love using the NoseFrida because it’s extremely easy to use, it cleans out the baby’s nose, and you can clean it thoroughly.
  3. Pampers Baby Dry Diapers – I LOVE the yellow strip on these diapers! When your baby has peed, the strip will turn blue so you know you need to change them. These diapers are great for overnight. I’ve never had a leak out of them.
  4. Ollie Swaddle – For my baby shower, I received an Ollie Swaddle as a gift from my sisters-in-law. It is such an excellent swaddle! When Avery was a newborn, she wiggled sooo much in her sleep and her hands would keep her awake. Ever since I used this swaddle, she slept so peacefully at night and it kept her calm. It helped a ton with her startle reflex.
  5. Fisher Price Baby Swing – During the day, when Avery was a newborn, I liked to keep her in close proximity to me. This swing was a God-send for me. With the spinning mobile up top, Avery would fall asleep watching it and would nap so well.
  6. Infantino Baby Carrier – I love this baby carrier because it’s extremely easy to use. I never could figure out the cloth wraps. I love how I can put my daughter in this and she’s completely content. There comes a time where some babies don’t want to be put down. Just having your baby in a carrier can help keep them happy. Plus, you don’t have to tire out your arms from carrying the baby around.
  7. Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock – This hammock is amazing for going to the store. It connects to the grocery cart and your baby can sleep in it or just relax while you shop. Since it rests at the top of the cart, you lose hardly any space inside the cart compared to putting a car seat in it.
  8. Comotomo Bottle – I always pumped when Avery was a newborn so I loved these bottles for her. What I think is great is that even if you nurse, I’ve read numerous reviews that these bottles are great because they’re reminiscent of a breast. A lot of breastfed babies have hard times taking bottles. I get so many funny comments about these bottles but I really love them! They’re made from silicone so they’re comfortable to hold.
  9. Desitin Rapid Relief   I love this diaper rash cream! It works incredibly fast. I’ve tried several kinds but I keep coming back to this one.
  10. Copper Pearl Multi-Use Cover – This cover is amazing because it can be used numerous ways. You can use it when you’re breastfeeding, you can cover your baby’s car seat, you can also put it on a grocery cart so your baby doesn’t touch the handlebar. I like using this cover during the winter when everyone is sick. I can place it over the car seat, and it deters people from touching my baby.

Finn + Emma

finn and emma footed pants design

If you’re looking for high-quality,  non-toxic products that contain 100 % cotton, Finn + Emma products are the way to go.

You’ve probably seen Finn + Emma products floating around Instagram. They’ve become really popular and it’s no wonder, because they really are made to last. Baby girl was able to try out Finn + Emma’s Reversible Bib, Footed Pants, and their Muslin Swaddles.

The Reversible Bib, which is made in India, has such beautiful detail. One side is embroidered, while the other has a unique pattern. It’s like getting two bibs in one. The snaps on the bib are lead and nickel free with coconut inserts.

As far as cleaning the bib, it’s very simple because it’s cotton. You just wash it like anything else.

I love the gorgeous patterns on their bibs. They have a few different kinds of bibs to choose from — either reversible or bandana and they’re easy to use as well as take care of.

The footed pants are so unbelievably soft and they’re stretchy as well which makes them easy for your baby to wear them for a long time. The age range for the ones I got was 0-3 months. My daughter is in the 94th percentile for height for her age range and she still fits these just fine. I absolutely love the embroidery at  the bottom of them too! And, again, they’re very simple to wash.

Lastly, Finn + Emma’s Muslin Swaddles .. I like that they’re large, which makes them easy for your baby to use them for a long time.  I do wish they were stretchy and a bit softer. I use my Ollie Swaddle religiously. The reason being that my daughter can’t get her hands out, it’s stretchy, and there is Velcro on it. These swaddles don’t have Velcro so you use them just like receiving blankets. I’m just not a huge fan of old fashioned swaddling.

I would definitely recommend Finn + Emma’s clothing items. I think they’re super soft and durable. Finn + Emma have so many other products as well: teethers, play gyms, and mats. Definitely check out their site to see their full product selection.
