Shopping with Babies Made Simple Using the LullaBelay

LullaBelay

Shopping with a baby can sometimes be challenging. Unless your baby can sit up well on their own, you have to put their baby seat into your cart and that takes up room where groceries would normally go. Fiddle Diddles has solved this problem with their LullaBelay. This crazy, genius invention is absolutely perfect for shopping trips!

Using the LullaBelay is really simple, but explaining it can be a little bit tricky, so I’ve added an instructional video from Fiddle Diddle’s YouTube channel. To explain briefly, you use carabiners to attach your baby’s seat to the grocery cart you are using. You’re probably thinking “umm.. wouldn’t the cart tip over??”. The answer is “no”, and here’s why… You attach the LullaBelay to the bottom of the toddler seat, and NOT to the handle bars. The LullaBelay actually LOWERS the center of gravity from where it sits! Crazy, I know. So it is completely safe to use. You can read more about the safety tests they’ve performed HERE.

Fiddle Diddles LullaBelay

So, I know the next thing you are probably thinking is “wouldn’t the car seat get in the way of where you’re walking?”. The answer to that is “no”, the reason being is that your baby’s car seat actually fits nicely under the handle bars of the cart. Thus, you are not walking into their car seat as you stroll around.

LullaBelay

I’ve absolutely loved using the LullaBelay. I can actually fit my groceries in my cart. I’ve gone to the grocery store several times without my LullaBelay and am completely frustrated with the lack of cart space I have. When I first got it to review, my husband was a bit skeptical. After a stroll down one aisle in the grocery store, he was sold and was pushing the cart around the rest of our grocery trip. My daughter loved it too because she was so comfortable, she fell asleep in her seat.

I like that you can put a covering over the seat, or you can leave it off and just let the seat hang. I’ve gotten so many looks and questions whenever I bring my LullaBelay to the grocery store with me. People want to know what it is and where to buy it! I feel like one of those cool moms who’s in the know. Haha

Easier Meals with Baby: Featuring Nuby

Nuby Sure Grip™ Miracle Mat Section Plate

Nuby has some amazing products for babies and children. One product that I’ve found myself reaching for over and over is their Sure Grip™ Miracle Mat Section Plate. It makes meal time so much easier for both A and myself.

Sure Grip™ Miracle Mat Section Plate

Meal time seems to be a struggle sometimes whenever A gets a plate or bowl. She inevitable tosses them on the floor or wants to spill her food out of them. I’ve learned to keep a dust pan and brush close by so that I can clean up the crazy amounts of food that get dropped on the floor. With A’s Sure Grip™ Miracle Mat Section Plate, I don’t have to worry about the plate tossing! It suctions to a flat surface so it can’t be moved! Truly a life saver for moms and dads.

Nuby Sure Grip™ Miracle Mat Section Plate

The plate is 100% silicone and very easy to clean. You can simply wipe it out or you can put the plate in the top rack of the dishwasher. The plate is also microwave safe which makes it the perfect all-in-one plate. You can find these plates at Babies R’ Us and Amazon.

Baby using Nuby Silicone Spoon

My second product that I tend to grab for A’s meals is Nuby’s Silicone Spoons. They are so great for teething babes! A has been teething since 4 months old and she loves to chew on soft, rubbery things. These spoons are so gentle on her gums, they’re easy for her to hold, and they’re not too soft to the point where they flop around. Again, these are silicone and dishwasher safe. I love them! I have some spoons from other brands and they tend to be too hard for A’s liking. I love that she can grab these, and it helps her love feeding herself!

I love the ease of using Nuby’s products and I find them to be extremely affordable so they fit anyone’s budget. These are currently my two favorite products from Nuby. You can check out more of Nuby’s products HERE.

Make Memories with Growing Roots Subscription Box

Growing Roots Subscription Box

I’m not new to the idea of subscription boxes. In fact, I love them. I think it’s fun having new products sent to my door on a monthly basis – especially when the products being sent are things I’d never think to buy for myself. I can say that I have really enjoyed my Growing Roots subscription box that they sent me. These boxes aim to connect families by building memories and they do just that.

The Going to Bed Book

Spending quality time with my daughter is very important to me, as is having “me”/ relaxation time. I love that there are amazing books in these boxes as well as pampering items for mommies.  As if the whole concept of the box is not great enough, with each box bought, a child in need has a book donated to them. Growing Roots box’s mission is “We believe in empowering families to spend more time together and in the benefits of early literacy.” I think that is so sweet.

Little Flower Relaxing and Detoxifying Lavender Bath Salt

I love that I’m able to build up my daughter’s book collection with quality books. I know these books will be in our family for a long time! I especially loved seeing that there was a Dr. Suess book in my box because growing up, Dr. Suess books and movies were some of my absolute favorites.

Someday book

Each month you receive 4-6 quality items sent to you for $39 + shipping. Something I like about these boxes is that items you get don’t all come from big companies. They come from small shops like ones found on Etsy. I think it’s really cool that Growing Roots Box supports small shops. You can tell a lot of thought goes into their product choices.

Bed Time Chore List

Products I received in my Growing Roots subscription box are as follows:

Ten Apples Up On Top! Book: I adore Dr. Suess books! I think they’re so great for children’s imaginations.

Growing Roots Eye Pillow: Wonderful for keeping cold or hot depending what you need it for. Whether you have a headache or just want to get rid of bags under the eyes, this is great.

Bed Time Chore Chart: My daughter can’t use this yet but I love how it’s designed! A metal sheet on wood with magnets that have chores for kids so they know what to do to get ready for bed. I, personally, am a visual person. I feel like this would make doing night time routines a little bit more fun for kiddos.

Ten Apples Up On Top! book

Someday BookThis is such a lovely book. It’s about a mother who dreams of all the wonderful things her child will do in life.

The Going to Bed Book: A cute book that makes going to bed more fun. 🙂

Lavender Seeds

Lavender Seeds: I love that they included these because I’ve always wanted to make a garden. Lavender is so great for helping people fall asleep. It has a relaxing aroma.

Little Flower Relaxing and Detoxifying Lavender Bath Salt: Firstly, this bath salt smells so wonderful. Secondly, it’s definitely relaxing. I could not wait to try this bath salt and pretty much immediately opened it and poured myself a bath. It did not disappoint.

Eye Pillow by Growing Roots

Overall, I liked what I received. I thought it was a great box. There were pampering items for me and lasting products for my daughter, so definitely nice in my book.

Chaser

Heirloom Woven Criss Cross Tie Back Maxi Dress

I can’t say enough about Chaser brand’s clothing. Their clothing is so soft and each piece has a unique quality of its own. This is due to the vintage washing and dying treatment of their clothing. It creates a one-of-a-kind look for each piece and makes them feel buttery soft.

Heirloom Woven Criss Cross Tie Back Maxi Dress Back

Chaser’s Summer 2017 line of clothing provided the perfect wardrobe for a beach trip with my sisters in Florida. The beachy, boho vibes they let off were just what I needed. I could effortlessly mix and match different pieces to create the cutest outfits.

Vintage Rib Lace Up Cami in St. Tropez Color

Tons of celebrities wear Chaser clothing including Kaley Cuoco, Lucy Liu, Kaitlin Olson, Hilary Duff, Hailee Steinfeld, Amanda Stanton, and loads more! They have the trendiest, cutest clothing – so it’s no wonder why.

I would say for great quality, excellent craftsmanship, and appeal, Chaser’s clothing is definitely worth buying. They have everything from printed tees to dresses, swimsuits, jackets, as well as clothing for children! Unfortunately, Avery is just a little bit too young for their children’s line — but just you wait. There is the cutest clothing for kids.

How I Got My Hair to Grow Back After Pregnancy

Among the many things that happen during or after pregnancy is the unpleasant surprise of learning that you may lose clumps of your hair and have bald spots. :O I wish I could write a book about all the things I learned during and after pregnancy. There’s so much that you’re not told when you become pregnant. I’m not sure if women want you to hear all the wonderful things about pregnancy so they don’t scare you off, or if they just simply forget. Either way, I learned a lot during and after those 9 months of my pregnancy.

One day, while I was pregnant, I ran my hands through my hair in the shower and out came a handful of hair. I have thick hair, so I’m used to pulling out some. But when I saw twice as much hair in my hand, I became worried. As the months went on, my hair wasn’t stopping coming out. I had read that during pregnancy a lot of women get luscious, beautiful hair, but mine was looking and feeling far from that. Months after I had had my baby, my hair was still not growing back, and I was feeling really self-conscious about my hair.

I took my prenatal vitamins, I drank water, I brushed my hair, but nothing was working to help my hair grow back.  I went on my phone and happened to see an Insta Story of a girl that I love following on Instagram and she had raved about a product called Vital Proteins. She mentioned how it helps your hair and nails because it is collagen. I’m no stranger to taking hair, skin and nails products, but I was desperate to find something that ACTUALLY worked. I decided to email them and ask if I could try their products out. They happily obliged and sent me their Collagen Peptides as well as their Collagen Beauty Greens.

When the products showed up to my house, I quickly ripped them open to try them out.

I’ve been using them for months now (the Collagen Peptides more than the Collagen Beauty Greens) and I can say that they WORK. Like, ACTUALLY WORK. Within a month of taking the Collagen Peptides my hair was growing back and I could notice the baby hairs sticking out my hair. I can’t tell you the amount of joy I had seeing my hair start to fill back in. There’s a confidence that comes from little things like that.

What I love about the Collagen Peptides and the Collagen Beauty greens is that you can use them in both cold or hot drinks. I, personally, like to put my Collagen Peptides in a hot drink like a hot chocolate. I’ve put it in apple juice before and it makes a weird texture and flavor, which I don’t love. You can mix these both up into smoothies and they’re wonderful. The Collagen Peptides have no flavoring really and the Collagen Beauty Greens have a slightly fishy taste due to having marine collagen in them. They also raw greens in them so there is that taste as well. Hence, why I say to put them in a smoothie. They’re not my favorite flavor. Two great things in the Collagen Beauty Greens is that they also contain Hyaluronic Acid which is great for joints and skin and they contain Probiotics, which are good for digestion.

Would I recommend these? Yes, yes I would. I think they work wonderfully. I would choose the Collagen Peptides over the Collagen Beauty Greens as far as taste, but I think Vital Proteins has done an incredible job making these products. I’m tempted to wrap this up in a friend’s baby shower gift next time! 😀
