Hello everyone! I thought I’d share a recipe I found online that’s been quite a hit with many of my friends and family. I mean.. who doesn’t like meatloaf?! Well… I didn’t. Until I tried this recipe 🙂 .. and neither did my brother-in-law.. until he tried this recipe! 🙂 I mean this is a kid that eats nothing but chicken nuggets. Lol. So, you know it’s pretty awesome if he’ll eat it. Try it at a potluck, make it for a family dinner, just try it. 🙂 It may just be one of your favorite meals, too.
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make this recipe:
1 pound ground sausage – I personally love Sage 🙂 So complementing
1 pound lean ground beef – or regular 😉 I like to live on the edge.
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup buttery round crackers, crushed – Ritz are perfect!
1/2 cup parmesan cheese – The recipe says grated but I like using shredded
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup ketchup
1 tsp garlic salt – I use plain dried garlic and it’s wonderful.
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce – I add 3-4 tablespoons.
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (for your sauce topping)
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp dried Italian seasoning – I do about a tablespoon
First, Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees.
Next, In a nice big bowl, combine everything together – minus the 1 cup of Ketchup, 1/2 cup of packed Brown Sugar, and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce.
Once you’ve combined everything you’re going to form little loaves. I like to make 3 medium-sized loaves but you can make your loaves as small or large as you like. 🙂
After you’ve placed your loaves into your baking dish, you’re going to make your sauce. Combine your Worcestershire sauce, Ketchup and Brown Sugar and then spread it on top of each of your loaves. You can put as much or as little as you’d like.
Bake your loaves for 45 to 60 minutes or until you’ve cut a slit into them and they look like they’re cooked enough.
Enjoy!! :)) This is the best part! 😉 My meatloaf kind of fell apart as I got it out of my dish. Lol.. But that’s a good thing! 🙂 I love to make mashed potatoes and some type of veggie for my side – like corn or green beans. My all time favorite gravy is a homemade brown gravy made from drippings or Bisto gravy , which my mom introduced me to. You’ll have to buy this at the British section of your store.
I hope you’ve enjoyed learning this recipe. It’s definitely one of my favorites. Here’s the link to where I found it :). “Little Meat Loaves”
Happy Tuesday, y’all !
