inVitamin All Natural Products

Not long ago, I found a company through Instagram called inVitamin who makes all-natural products such as deodorant, tooth and gum powder, as well as face wash, and  a wide variety of other products. When I showed an interest in their all-natural deodorant, an incredibly kind gentleman by the name of Dan messaged me and sent some products over for me to try. I have been trying these products every day for over a month, so I’ve been able to use them quite often.

inVitamin All Natural Coconut Oil and Baking Soda Deodorant

I’d been wanting to try an all-natural deodorant for years because solid, aluminum deodorants seem to clog my pores, ruin my clothes and cause more harm than good.  I was able to try inVitamin‘s Natural Deodorant Cream which only contains 5 ingredients : Coconut Oil, Baking Soda, Sugar, Vitamin E, and Beeswax.  When initially opening the package, it was melted and a bit messy because it had been in the heat. After letting the deodorant sit in my bathroom over night it was able to set up and clump together — creating a consistency that was perfect for spreading.

Here were my thoughts on the deodorant:

  1. Easy to spread under my arms.
  2. Great scent. Even after wearing the deodorant for several hours, the smell of coconut and the freshness of the baking soda kept me smelling great.
  3. My underarms stayed dry, which is especially great in the summer when it’s so hot.
  4.  Compact container that you can easily take with you wherever — though, I’d recommend keeping it in a cool, dry place.

Over-all, I’d say it’s a very decent deodorant. It smells wonderful and it’s easy to use as well as effective!

Price : $6 (3oz) — A little goes a long way, so this is a great deal in my opinion.

All Natural Activated Charcoal Spearmint Flavor Tooth and Gum Powder

The next product I tried was the All Natural Activated Charcoal Spearmint Flavor Tooth and Gum Powder.  This is my absolute favorite product of the 3 products I was able to try. You use it like a toothpaste and it’s super simple to use. I like to wet my tooth brush and pour a little powder into my hand and then swirl my tooth brush in the powder. I believe now they’ve got little holes on the container that you can now pour the powder onto your toothbrush which makes it much easier to pour the product directly onto your toothbrush.

inVitmain All Natural Charcoal Tooth and Gum Powder

inVitamin has 3 flavors for their tooth and gum powder which are: Cinnamint, Orange, and Spearmint. I really have been liking the spearmint because I’m a mint toothpaste type of girl. The taste took a little bit to get used to but after a little while was fine. You can taste the spearmint as well as the hibiscus flower petal powder but you can also taste a slight bitterness of the charcoal powder which isn’t too overwhelming.

The tooth and gum powder contains : Bentonite clay – activated bamboo – Charcoal powder – myrrh gum powder – organic stevia leaf powderr – organic hibiscus flower petal powder – organic orris root powder – organic spearmint extract

inVitamin Charcoal Tooth and Gum Powder

Here are my thoughts on the tooth and gum powder:

  1. I noticed my teeth seem more white — even after a few uses, which is really awesome.
  2. The small pieces of charcoal really “exfoliate” my teeth and clean them so much more thoroughly than a toothpaste alone. My teeth have never felt more clean! Honestly, I wish I had found this product years ago.
  3. The taste is not bad — takes a bit of getting used to, but it’s definitely tolerable.

Over-all, I love this product. I would highly recommend it to anyone who’s thinking of trying an all-natural type of tooth powder.

Price: $9 (2.75 oz) : You don’t need to use a lot of this product at a time so I think $9 is very reasonable. I haven’t gotten down to a third of my container yet and I’ve been using this powder for over 2 months.

inVitamin All Natural Bug Gel

The last item I was able to try is the Natural Moisturizing Bug Gel which helps keep pesky mosquitoes and gnats away from your skin. It feels like a lotion and is very effective.

The ingredients for inVitamin‘s Natural Moisturizing Bug Gel are: Organic Castor Seed Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Organic Jojoba Oil, Guar Gum, pure essential oils of Rose Geranium, Virginia Cedarwood, Cinnamon Leaf and Clove Bud, Natural Vitamin E, Leucidal (a 100% plant based preservative).

Thoughts on the product:

  1. It’s effective. I found it easy to keep annoying bugs away from me by slathering on this gel.
  2. Because of the clove, I wasn’t extremely fond of the scent of the product, but if you like the smell of clove, you will like the scent just fine.
  3. My skin didn’t feel irritated while using this. The jojoba oil and aloe vera gel kept my skin feeling hydrated and soft.

Over-all, this gel is effective, and is perfectly safe for children! A great alternative to sprays that is a much safer option.

Price: $7

One thing I love about inVitamin‘s products is that not only are they all-natural, but they aim to make their products safe for not only adults, but for the whole family.  Their products are homemade in small batches, which I love! Every product they make, they use in their own homes and they stand by each product.

If you’ve not heard of inVitamin, I would highly recommend their products! Please support them by checking out their site and trying a few of their products. You won’t be disappointed.

Happy. Calm. Focused.

Happy.Calm.Focused

HCF Happy. Calm. Focused. are supplements used to nourish the neurotransmitters that help you feel good by providing amino acids and vitamins to help enrich them.

The amino acids, minerals and vitamins found in this are:

DL-Phenylalanine   – L-Glutamine – Vitamin A – Chromium – Vitamin E – Vitamin B1 – Vitamin B2 – Vitamin B3 – Vitamin B5 – Vitamin B6 – Folic Acid – Vitamin B12 – Biotin – Calcium – Iron – Magnesium –Zinc

DL-phenylalanine ( a mixture of D-phenylalanine and L-phenylalanine), if you’ve never heard of it,  can be found in : milk, meat, cheese and eggs and is used in this supplement. Your body doesn’t naturally make it so you must get it from foods.

Some symptoms of low phenylalanine have been: low energy, depression, and memory problems, as well as decreased alertness.

L-Glutamine ( mostly found in skeletal muscle) assists in cell hydration, metabolism, brain function, immune function, and can be used to help anxiety.

Happy.Calm.Focused_

I started taking these about a month ago. I received a 90 count bottle from HCF’s company to see how I liked it and here’s what I thought:

  • I had no jitters or buzz — which is good because, just like eating regular food, I got natural supplementation.
  • I felt more calm — like the edge was taken off my anxiety and I could kind of just “be” and not worry as much.
  • I didn’t have any physical side effects such as a sore stomach or headaches.
  • The pills were very easy to take. You just take 3 in the morning on an empty (important) stomach with 8oz water and take no more than 6 daily . It helps to maximize the effectiveness.

Over-all, I’ve liked these pills. You won’t get a jolt of energy or anything crazy like that but you’ll just feel better. I feel like they did what they said. I didn’t quite feel more focused, but that’s ok. I am a very multi-tasking person, so that’s hard for me to do when I want to do 10 things at once. Lol. Definitely give them a try some time.

Jealous Body Scrub – Grapeseed and Macadamia

jealous-body-scrub-macadamia-and-grapeseed__

If you’ve read my previous post on Jealous Body Scrub, you’d know that I absolutely love this scrub. It doesn’t just exfoliate and moisturize, it really transforms your shower or bath with its rich aroma.

Jealous Body sent me over one of their new scrubs to try — Grapeseed + Macadamia and I really liked it. It’s got a few different ingredients than the last..

Ingredients:

  • robusta coffee beans — ground
  • grapeseed oil
  • macadamia nut oil
  • raw brown sugar
  • sea salt
  • vitamins A & E

What It’s Meant to Do

Exfoliate. Tighten skin & treat acne. Balance out oil production. Protect & repair skin with its vitamins. Leave skin feeling soft and smooth.

My Thoughts on the Scrub

My skin felt really soft after using it and even though I’ve got sensitive skin, the ingredients are so gentle that I don’t need to worry about breaking out or anything like that. I used this scrub in both the bath and shower and loved the rich aroma that enveloped my bathroom. I imagine myself in a coffee house or walking down the coffee aisle in the store (am I the only person who purposefully walks down that aisle because I love the aroma?).

I would say that after having used the coconut and coffee scrub I actually prefer the coconut scrub over this just because I feel like it moisturized my skin better and allowed me to really spread it around easily on my skin. However, both are great scrubs and I really have nothing bad to say about them.

If you’re interested in buying one of these scrubs you can buy these scrubs HERE.

I highly recommend them!

Each retails for $17.95.

Clarisonic Mia 2

clarisonic-mia-7

So, a while back I was given the opportunity from ProductTestingUSA.com to try out a Clarisonic Mia 2 ! 🙂 I was pretty stoked because I’d been hearing about them and heard loads of great things.

Unfortunately, I’m not someone who splurges on everything I like — it takes me years to pep talk myself into buying some things. (Example: any of the Naked palettes .. I’m in love with them <3 … yet, I still haven’t talked myself into spending $56 a piece. Why must you be so expensive?! 😐)

clarisonic-mia-8

Anyways, I’ve been really loving this cleansing brush! It doesn’t work like your typical cleansing brush – it uses sonic speeds and pulses which cleanses your face more thoroughly.

Here’s how Clarisonic explains it:

Unlike spinning devices, our patented sonic technology works with skin’s natural elasticity, oscillating at a sonic frequency that produces over 300 movements per second. The resulting flexing action works to loosen dirt and oil, removing deep-seated impurities from pores and priming skin to better absorb topical treatments.”

Sounds cool, right?

clarisonic-mia-9

Sooo.. my original face-washing routine was: grab lots of products, clean my face for like 5 mins, splash hot water on my face and then cold water, and then put lotion, etc on. After using the Clarisonic, my routine was cut down to 3 mins – tops! 🙂 I simply follow the face washing routine (twice) of: 10 seconds – forehead, 10 seconds – nose and chin, 20 seconds – one cheek, 20 seconds – the other cheek. Clarisonic recommends you do one round of 20 secs for chin and nose and then 20 for forehead and 10 for each cheek , but I don’t have very oily T-zones so I switched it up. I find that this works great for me. 🙂

clarisonic-mia-10

I’ll admit that it took me a bit to get used to it. Having had a spinning brush before this, I expected a similar feeling. After putting the brush to my face, I realized it is very gentle and doesn’t move all over the place. Instead, it just pulses super fast but not in an uncomfortable way. After one wash using this, my skin felt amazing! 🙂

clarisonic-mia-11

Here’s some cool features it has:

  • 2 Speeds – Delicate and Universal. I used delicate the first two weeks because I’ve got sensitive skin.
  • Cleans your skin 6x better than using just your hands!
  • A one minute timer that pulses when you need to move to the next zone.
  • It’s rechargeable & also waterproof 😀 Hooray!
  • Has a 2 year warranty.
  • You can switch out the brush head. They’ve got one for sensitive skin, acne, deep pore cleansing, body, combination skin, and several others. (Basically one for everyone. :))

By the way, the charger is freaking cool! 🙂 It’s magnetic so it snaps right on and it vibrates and makes a noise when it’s connected. In order to know everything is charged, you’ll see a light going off and on around the “on” button and when it’s charged fully the light will go solid.

clarisonic-mia-12

I feel like the battery lasts a good while. I can use my cleanser for half a week to a week using it twice daily and nightly.

Over-all, I’ve been loving this cleansing brush! 🙂 It’s been in my cleansing regimen for the past few months and I feel like my skin has stayed mostly clear, the texture is much better and my skin is verrry clean after using it. My skin doesn’t look so hot when I’m not using it.

I would warn you that the first week or 2 using it – you will break out. It’s not because this brush is irritating your skin or anything like that but rather it’s cleaning your skin so well that all those impurities are coming out. Wait it out.. keep using it.. and thank me later. <3 If you use this right, you’ll love it.

Do any of you own a Clarisonic cleansing brush? What are your thoughts?
